Slime-a-Palooza

  • July 2, 2018
    9:00 am - 12:00 pm
  • July 27, 2018
    1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Curious kids who just can’t get their fill of the slime craze will get to try a variety of recipes to master the perfect slime!  Families, the best part for you is that they’ll make the mess at the Collaboratory instead of your kitchen table!  Along the way, they’ll learn the science behind slime and what’s happening on a molecular level to make the sticky, squishy, fluffy, stretchy stuff that we love so much as well as learn tips and tracks for how to troubleshoot when a batch just isn’t turning out right.   Slime scientists will choose their colors, mix-ins, and even optional scents (like cotton candy, watermelon, sugar cookie, chocolate, or choose from over 50 other scents) for at least 5 batches of slime.  We’ll explore favorites like cloud slime, crunchy slime, cotton candy slime, kinetic slime, butter slime, and so many more!  All materials are supplied, including slime ingredients and containers to take your slime home.

There will be two sessions offered: July 2, 9am – 12pm OR July 27, 1pm-4pm  – Both sessions will be open to campers who will be entering Grades 3-7*

*Age ranges are recommended ages.  If you have any questions, please reach out to Anna (anna@knowledgeplayground.org) and she’d be happy to help you determine if it makes sense for children outside that range.

Before participating in the first day of camp, students must return the signed Family Information Form, which will be emailed prior to the week of camp.

If this class sounds perfect for your child but this date doesn’t work for you, please contact us at info@knowledgeplayground.org in case another section is added this summer!

Contact us at info@knowledgeplayground.org if you are interested in an early drop-off at 8am or late pick-up at 5pm option.  If there is interest from multiple families, we’ll contact all participants to offer the option for an additional fee.

100% Satisfaction Guaranteed – If after the first day of camp, you decide this is not a great fit for your child, please contact Anna by phone or in person to discuss either a full refund or registration in another Collaboratory camp instead.  Collaboratory reserves the right to cancel (with 100% refund) this session if enrollment is less than 6 kids.  We believe strongly that one of the most important elements to learning at the Collaboratory is the collaboration and teamwork with other students.  We want to ensure there are enough students to create a powerful team and to grow our thinking power!
