- Wearable Tech
June 27, 2019 - June 28, 2019
1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
- Technology and fashion are intersecting in such creative ways, and we can’t wait to explore this intersection with curious tinkerers at this camp! We’ll design our own wearable pieces such as jewelry, pins, buttons, hat/hair accessories, bow-ties, or accessories for existing clothing or backpacks, etc. that use sophisticated circuitry with LED lights to blink or even make sounds. Campers who want to take a deeper dive can even program their wearable tech to be as functional as it is fashionable using light, sound, and motion sensors!
June 27th -28th, 1pm-5pm daily and will be open to campers ages 8ish and older. Cost is inclusive of a materials fee that covers all tools and resources for the wearable tech that will go home after camp.
(The afternoon camp offered this same week, Science & Art Fusion Camp, will be from 9am-12pm. Campers who sign up for both are invited to bring a sack lunch and will have a free bonus hour included from 12pm-1pm that includes Open Tinker Lab after lunch! Click here for more information about that camp.)
*Age ranges are recommended ages. if you have any questions, please reach out to Anna (firstname.lastname@example.org) and she’d be happy to help you determine if it makes sense for children outside that range.
Before participating in the first day of camp, students must return the signed Family Information Form, which will be emailed prior to the week of camp.
Contact us at email@example.com if you are interested in an early drop-off at 8am or late pick-up at 5pm option. If there is interest from multiple families, we’ll contact all participants to offer the option for an additional fee.
100% Satisfaction Guaranteed – If after the first day of camp, you decide this is not a great fit for your child, please contact Anna by phone or in person to discuss either a full refund or registration in another Collaboratory camp instead. Collaboratory reserves the right to cancel (with 100% refund) this session if enrollment is less than 6 kids. We believe strongly that one of the most important elements to learning at the Collaboratory is the collaboration and teamwork with other students. We want to ensure there are enough students to create a powerful team and to grow our thinking power!
