Wee Wonderers is a program for young children and their grown-ups to explore the world around us together through exciting hands-on experiences through an integrated STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics) approach.  The suggested age range is children ages 3 to 5, but if you have any questions, please reach out to Anna (anna@knowledgeplayground.org) and she’d be happy to help you determine if it makes sense for children beyond that range.

Children will begin each weekly workshop with time to tinker, build, explore and discover through  sensory experiences and fun hands-on stations for the first half of the workshop.  Then we’ll come together as a group to read a story that leads into the experiment of the week.  Experiments will encourage students to wonder about the world around them, explore new ideas and concepts, as well as communicate their thinking in a safe and fun environment.  Curiosity, imagination, and creativity come naturally to children at this age,  and Wee Wonderers will help kids fuel these innate skills in new ways each week.

100% Satisfaction Guaranteed – If after the first class, you decide this is not a great fit for your child, please contact Anna either by email, phone or in person to discuss either a full refund or registration in another Collaboratory class or workshop instead.  Collaboratory reserves the right to cancel (with 100% refund) this session if enrollment is less than 6 kids.  We believe strongly that one of the most important elements to learning at the Collaboratory is the collaboration and teamwork with other students.  We want to ensure there are enough students to create a powerful team and to grow our thinking power!
